The sinful heart does not want to listen to God’s Word. The sinful world does all that it can to ignore or discredit the Word. Unbelievers have no interest in anything God has to say. So how does God reach anyone? He sends messengers. He sends his people out to share the gospel. Today we see that Jesus reaches sinners through his messengers.
