COLLIN VANDERHOOF
Rev. Vanderhoof is one of our two Pastors at Pilgrim. He grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin and has lived in Wisconsin, Kentucky, Idaho, and Minnesota.
Rev. Vanderhoof attended Fox Valley Lutheran High School and graduated from Martin Luther College. He received his Masters from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. 2023-24 is Rev. Vanderhoof’s 19th year of preaching, and his 4th year at Pilgrim. He loves to teach Catechism to the students in grades 5-8.
Rev. Vanderhoof is married to his bubbly wife Tiffany and they have three kids Noah, Micah, and Grace. In his spare time he enjoys playing softball, basketball, volleyball, board games with family and reading.
Pastor Aaron Winkelman joined the staff at Pilgrim in 2023 and has been in pastoral ministry since 2005.
Pastor is married to his wonderful wife Laura and together they are parents to eight kids: Ethan, Rebekah, Gabriel, Charis, Alex, Micaiah, Mae, and Nevaeh. He says that he can only keep up with their busy schedules thanks to Laura’s exceptional organizational skills and a color-coded Google calendar.
In any spare time Pastor Winkelman enjoys Wisconsin sports (especially Packers football), hiking, cooking, dining out, sampling craft beer, and living room karaoke competitions with his wife Laura. Card, dice, and board games are also popular activities with the family.
He gives all glory to God for mentors in his early life and faithful friends who have seen him through life’s difficulties and partnered with him in ministry. Pastor and Laura are thrilled to be at Pilgrim and are eager to connect with the church family and those in the community who need Jesus. He would love to meet you!
KEVIN KLUG
Mr. Klug is the Principal here at Pilgrim and he also teaches departmentalized ELA for grades 5-8. He grew up in Watertown, WI and has always lived in Wisconsin except for heading to school in Minnesota.
Mr. Klug attended Lakeside Lutheran High School and graduated from Martin Luther College in 1999. He is currently finishing up his Masters of Education in Administration at MLC. 2023-24 is Mr. Klug’s 25th year of teaching, and his 4th year at Pilgrim. Besides teaching at Pilgrim he has taught in LaCrosse, Juneau and Ixonia Wisconsin. His favorite subject to teach is ELA.
Mr. Klug is married to his beautiful wife Gretchen and they have two adult children Jacob & Madelynn, and one son in law, Connor. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, hiking, boating, playing softball & volleyball, and traveling with family.
DAVID PORTH
Mr. Porth wears many hats for Pilgrim. He is our Homeroom Teacher for grades 7-8, he teaches departmentalized Music & Hymnology for grades 5-8 and he is also Pilgrim’s church Worship Coordinator. He grew up in Jackson, WI and has always lived in Wisconsin except for heading to school in Minnesota.
Mr. Porth attended Luther Preparatory High School and graduated from Martin Luther College. He has attained his Masters from Concordia University in Wisconsin. 2023-24 is Mr. Porth’s 10th year of teaching, and his 10th year at Pilgrim! His favorite subject to teach is Hymnology.
Mr. Porth has two amazing kids Michael and Jameson, who both attend Pilgrim, and one fun loving dog, Gilbert. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, supper clubbin’ and traveling.
JENNY RAASCH
Mrs. Raasch is Pilgrim’s Homeroom Teacher for grades 5-6, and she also teaches departmentalized Science, Art & PE for grades 5-8. She grew up in Grove Heights, MN and has lived there, California, Florida and now in Wisconsin.
Mrs. Raasch attended St. Croix Lutheran High School and graduated from Doctor Martin Luther College. She has taught all grades from 3 year-old Preschool through Grade 8 everywhere she has lived. 2023-24 is Mrs. Raasch’s 18th year of teaching, and her 10th year at Pilgrim! Her favorite subjects to teach are Science and Religion.
Mrs. Raasch is married to Joel and they have two brilliant adult children, Joseph and Anna. Mrs. Raasch often cares for her ‘grand-pets’ Moose the dog and Mickey the snake. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing piano, tending to houseplants, watching the kids sports and spending time with family.
AMY KUSKE
Mrs. Kuske is Pilgrim’s Teacher for grades 3-4. She grew up in Woodville, Wisconsin and has always lived in Wisconsin except for heading to school in Minnesota.
Mrs. Kuske attended Baldwin-Woodville High School and graduated from Doctor Martin Luther College. She has completed Graduate work at UW-Whitewater and Wisconsin Lutheran College. 2023-24 is Mrs. Kuske’s 38th year of teaching, and her 8th year at Pilgrim! Her favorite subjects to teach are Art and Science.
Mrs. Kuske is married to Pete and they have been blessed with three adult children [Tyler, Caleb & Alison], a daughter in law, a son in law, and two grandchildren. Mrs. Kuske loves to spend time with her family, her dog Brindley and in her spare time she enjoys reading, swimming, and going on walks.
CHARLOTTE HUEBNER
Miss Huebner is Pilgrim’s Teacher for Grade 2, and also our Athletic Director. She grew up in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. She has lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Washington.
Miss Huebner attended Lakeside Lutheran High School and graduated from Martin Luther College. She has taught lower grades everywhere she has lived. 2024-25 is Miss Huebner’s 8th year of teaching, and her 1st year at Pilgrim! Her favorite subjects to teach are Reading and Physical Education.
In her spare time she enjoys playing volleyball, soccer, and tennis. Kayaking and hiking new trails is always fun for her to do. She enjoys reading books, especially fantasy, historical fiction, or poetry. Charlotte is one to explore, travel, and taste new cuisines everywhere she goes!
JODI MURPHY
Mrs. Murphy is Pilgrim’s Teacher for grade 1. She grew up in Menasha, Wisconsin and has lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan.
Mrs. Murphy attended Fox Valley Lutheran High School and graduated from Doctor Martin Luther College. She has a wide variety of teaching experience ranging from PreK-grade 4 and was also the Resource Coordinator and Math Specialist in the Brillion Public Schools. 2023-24 is Mrs. Murphy’s 28th year of teaching, and her 12th year at Pilgrim! Her favorite subjects to teach are ALL of them, especially the Word of God.
Mrs. Murphy is married to Mark and they have one adult son, Joshua. Mrs. Murphy says “It is a privilege to be able to assist my students in growing in their faith and in the knowledge of the world around them. Being able to infuse the love of Jesus into everything we do is such a blessing.” In her spare time she loves a variety of outdoor recreational activities, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.
KATHY BRANDT
Mrs. Brandt is Pilgrim’s Teacher Kindergarten (K5). She grew up in Jackson, Wisconsin and has lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and California.
Mrs. Brandt attended Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School and graduated from Doctor Martin Luther College. Mrs. Brandt has been teaching for over 30 years, and has over 20 years at Pilgrim! She has a wide variety of teaching experience ranging from PreK-grade 8. Her favorite subjects to teach are Word of God and Reading.
Mrs. Brandt is married to her wonderful husband Jim and they have three amazing adult sons [Sam, Zach & Jake], one daughter in law [Katie] and one grandchild! Mrs. Brandt loves to travel to see her adult children who live across the world. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, biking, theme park rides, and traveling with family and friends.
ASHLEY RUSCH
Ms. Rusch is Pilgrim’s Student Services Coordinator for grades K4-8. She grew up in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and has always lived in and loved Wisconsin.
Ms. Rusch attended Menomonee Falls High School, graduated from UW-Milwaukee, and has completed Graduate work at Cardinal Stritch University. 2024-25 is Ms. Rusch’s 8th year of special education work, and her FIRST year at Pilgrim! Her favorite subject to teach is Reading.
Ms. Rusch will be married to Brian and they have been blessed with a daughter, Brooks. Ms. Rusch loves to spend time with her family and their German Shepherd Captain. In her spare time she enjoys Brewer games, running, and spending time with family and friends.
